Words and even pictures cannot fully describe this stunning gift of nature. First photographed by Timothy O’Sullivan in 1871, we continue trying to capture the beauty of this geological wonder, but nothing substitutes seeing the south rim of the Grand Canyon like seeing it in person. Gray Line stops at the most popular viewing areas, including Mather Point and the Bright Angel Lodge. Take your own pictures – shop for souvenirs – create your own memories.
After crossing Hoover Dam, where a photo stop is made, your driver/guide will entertain you with a historical narration of the area’s Spanish Explorers, and the early Western Settlers as you drive through Arizona.
A delicious lunch is included at Max & Thelma’s Restaurant at the Railroad Depot, which was constructed in 1908, in picturesque Williams, Arizona along historic Route 66.
Upon arriving at the Grand Canyon you’ll entered the park were you’ll enjoy a one and an half hour stop at Mather Point. Enjoy the ½ mile trail along the canyon’s edge, or simply take in the amazing view of this dramatic natural wonder.
You will always remember your Grand Canyon's South Rim as a very special day!
